What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a gem of Chinese heritage with its origins dating back thousands of years.

Acupuncture helps to promote the body’s natural/self-healing power. By inserting sterilized

needles at precise and specific points and applying heat or electric stimulation, acupuncture

helps to relieve pain and alleviate the symptoms of many health problems. These include:

Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow & Frozen Shoulder, Back & Neck Pain,

Sciatica, Degenerative Joint Diseases, Fibromyalgia, Sports, Overuse, and Accident Injuries,

Headaches, Depression, Anxiety, Allergies, Stress, and other disorders.

Are there side effects?

No serious side effects have been associated with acupuncture provided by well-trained

practitioners. Occasionally, the fine needles may cause small bruises on the skin, but they should

disappear within days. For some patients, the original symptoms may feel worse for a few days before

improvement is felt. Some other minor side effects include changes in appetite, sleep, bowel or

urination patterns.

What is Fire-Cupping?

During your session of Acupuncture, fire cupping and
topical herbology can be

provided at no additional cost. Fire cupping is an Ancient Chinese Therapy
that involves using heated cups that are lit with a flame and placed on specific
areas of the patient's body. When the cups go on the skin and the air is
slowly removed from the cups, a vacuum is created that sucks the skin
until it is red. Redness is a good sign-a signal that blood is flowing and toxins
are being released. The redness will last for several days. It is a relaxing and
healing procedure made famous by Gweneth Paltrow when she walked out
in public with red spots on her back.

What are the prices?

$55 per session of Acupuncture
